Let us know where in Greater Manchester you had your first ever pint

With May Bank Holiday weekend approaching giving people that extra day off to enjoy themselves at the pub, we want to know where you had your first pint in Greater Manchester.

The city and region is blessed with all kinds of different pubs and bars, ranging from the more traditionally-styled establishments to places with a more modern vibe. There's certainly something for everyone in Manchester.

And that's not forgetting the venues that sadly no longer exist, where some may well have had their first ever pint.

Let us know in the comments section.

We've already had readers share their experiences, with one person saying: "The White House Great Ancoats Street, my mum was the landlady. It's been demolished now like all the pubs around that area."

Another added their experience at the football, saying: "Maine Road, I normally drank halves but they only sold pints at the old Man City ground. Wasn't complaining though...loved it, we beat Newcastle!"

Some readers had humorous stories to tell, with one person saying: "March Hare in Ashton-under-Lyne. A pint of Guinness because a few of my family members were having one and was the tipple of choice in the family.

"Drank it quickly trying to be the 'big man', got dizzy very quickly. Lesson learned."

Another person shared: "Edge Cheetham hill, still there now a Joe Holts. It was 5:30 & landlady wouldn’t serve us till The Archers on radio had finished."
