Leny Yoro alternative hands Man United two-word transfer message that could impact plans

David Hancko has posted a simple two-word message to Instagram ahead of a potential move to Manchester United - and it could have an impact on his transfer plans this summer.

The 26-year-old was a pivotal part of the Slovakian side that pushed England to the brink of UEFA Euro 2024 embarrassment last month, and he's earned plenty of admirers as a result.

He currently plays his club football for Eredivisie side Feyenoord and performed well under the tutelage of new Liverpool manager Arne Slot during his tenure at the Rotterdam club.

The defender has been a hot topic for many clubs since he cruelly exited the tournament, with Erik ten Hag’s side among those linked with acquiring his signature. The Slovakian is a left-sided defender who can play as a centre-back or full-back, meaning he could help fill the void left by Raphael Varane, who played his last game for United during the FA Cup final win in May.

United suffered a defensive injury crisis last season, with many of the absentees - including Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Victor Lindelof - tending to feature on Hancko's preferred left side of defence.

Despite United’s reported interest, the transfer may be heavily influenced by other transfer activity at Old Trafford. Feyenoord value the player at up to £40m according to reports, which is a price United may be reluctant to pay - particularly given existing targets Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Jarrad Branthwaite all offer more promise.
