Lenny Scott murder investigation: Fourth suspect arrested after dad-of-three shot dead outside gym
A fourth suspect has been arrested after a 33-year-old father-of-three was shot dead outside a gym earlier this month. Lenny Scott was gunned down on Peel Road, Skelmersdale, on February 8.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Lenny, who was from Prescot, died later in hospital. In the days and weeks following his death, a number of suspects have been arrested in relation to the fatal attack.
The latest was on Thursday morning (February 22), when Lancashire Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody to be questioned by detectives.

On Wednesday (February 21), officers arrested a 37-year-old man, also from Liverpool, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries. Last week, a 27-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
And previously, on February 11, a 25-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has also been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Lancashire Police say a large investigation team has been assigned to the case, with enquiries being carried out 'across the north west to identify all those involved' in Lenny's death. The force said detectives have watched 'hundreds of hours of CCTV' to 'piece together a full picture of what happened in the hours, days and weeks' before and after Lenny was shot.
