Lennon Miller transfer fee 'set' as Celtic and Rangers learn how much it will cost to get talent out of Motherwell
Motherwell will look to land at least £4MILLION to do business over top talent Lennon Miller, according to a report.
The Fir Park youngster continues to impress weekly under Stuart Kettlewell and recently took on the armband at Hampden in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final in a major show of faith in the 18-year-old. Both Celtic and Rangers have been touted to make moves for the midfielder - but the Daily Mail now state what sort of numbers Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement would need to put on the table for their Premiership rival to consider a bid.
Ibrox hero Barry Ferguson stated that Miller would 'walk' into the starting team at his former club. One of the hottest properties in Scottish football has always maintained he is in no rush to move on with his top priority his development and bagging as many top team minutes and experience as possible. Fir Park chairman Kyrk Macmillan made it clear they want to keep Miller around for as long as they can. But, as with every club, every player has a price although it will take much more than the £3million they received for David Turnbull back in 2020..
The same publication state that the Hoops are admirers of Miller, but have not yet made an approach while rivals Rangers also like what they see - but are also yet to make official contact. They claim Liverpool could join a bidding war with the Old Firm duo. They've not been shy to enter the Scottish market over the years with Calvin Ramsay snapped up from Aberdeen.
Miller is currently on Scotland Under-19 duty and is under contract at Fir Park until 2026. New chairman MacMillan stated "‘Obviously, he’s now captain of the club over the last couple of matches, did it at Hampden as well for the semi-final [Premier Sports Cup].
