Leicester City target makes transfer decision as Youri Tielemans stance revealed

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has "always ideally wanted" to play for Arsenal amid transfer interest from the Gunners.

Tielemans almost signed for the north Londoners before he joined AS Monaco from Anderlecht and was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium both in January and upon the opening of the summer transfer window. As time ticks down, that is looking increasingly unlikely with Arsenal yet to make a bid for the Belgian midfielder.

His long-standing interest in joining Arsenal is reported by journalist Ben Jacobs, who has given a detailed breakdown of the current situation regarding the Leicester midfielder and his future. "Tielemans' preference remains to leave this window," Jacobs wrote on Twitter.

Former Everton defender Sebastian Kristensen appears to be on trial at Leicester City.

The 19-year-old featured alongside fellow trialist Paul Appiah at centre-back as City's under-21s beat Stratford Town in a pre-season friendly on Friday.

Kristensen was released by Everton at the end of last season upon the expiry of his contract. He struggled to break through into their under-23 squad on a regular basis. He was a mainstay for their under-18s, however, and Leicester are now casting an eye over the Dane.
