Leicester City prepare for summer exit as two Premier League fixtures rearranged

Here’s the latest Leicester City news on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

Leicester City are reportedly set to part company with their head of medicine, Dr Bryan English, this summer.

Changes were made to the way Rodgers ' backroom staff was structured in the summer of 2020, which saw Dr English arrive from Middlesbrough that off-season after long-term head physio Dave Rennie left the club .

That head of medicine was Dr English and that then-newly created role is apparently set to be vacant again.

The Athletic are reporting that Leicester are now "looking to appoint a new full-time club doctor" as Dr English's two-year contract is due to expire at the end of this season and the head of medicine is set to leave the club.

With Harvey Barnes and Hamza Choudhury also in the first team, only three of the 41 starting line-ups fielded by City this season have not included a player who came up through the club’s academy - the Premier League wins over Manchester United and Brentford in October, and the 1-1 home draw with Spartak Moscow. In fact, City have had an academy graduate in the matchday squad for every game since a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in December 2018, a run of 165 matches.
