Leicester City predicted line-up v Chelsea: Change dependent on Youri Tielemans fitness

Youri Tielemans’ fitness could determine if Leicester City field an unchanged outfield line-up for their clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian midfielder was involved in a clash of knees during the win at Watford, and while he completed the game, manager Brendan Rodgers has said he will have to be assessed to see if he can feature on Thursday night. If not, City will be forced to make a change.

The most likely replacement for Tielemans in the centre of the pitch would be James Maddison, and so Rodgers would then be looking for a winger to come into the team on the right-hand side. Marc Albrighton and Ademola Lookman would be the most likely candidates, and having set up Harvey Barnes just 17 seconds after coming on as a half-time substitute on Sunday, Albrighton could be the player City turn to.

Ricardo Pereira could be back in contention despite previously being ruled out for the season with hamstring issues, but it seems unlikely that he will oust either Timothy Castagne or James Justin in the full-back roles. Justin did have a heavy landing on his recently-dislocated shoulder towards the end of win at Watford but he was not mentioned by Rodgers in his injury round-up this week.
