Leicester City fans' votes show who club desperately missed as Youri Tielemans suffers big drop

Over the past few weeks, Leicester City supporters have been voting for and discussing who their player of the season is, or giving their verdicts on which members of the squad did well, while which of them underperformed.

But sometimes, people's opinions can be warped by recency bias or certain narratives. So, to hopefully show who the fans really did and didn't rate during the season, we have compiled each player's average score for the campaign.

Every time we published our ratings after each match, we gave you, the City supporters, the chance to vote too, and tell us where we got it right or wrong. We've not tallied up those scores and worked out the averages.

To ensure those players who more regularly came off the bench for a few minutes – and so might have their score distorted – were not unfairly treated, we worked out the two average ratings for each player, one for starts only and one for all appearances.
