Leicester City among Premier League clubs 'interested' in Championship starlet

Leicester City have reportedly been joined by French giants Olympique Lyonnais and Championship promotion pushers Bournemouth in a growing list of clubs 'interested' in Bristol City youngster Han-Noah Massengo.

Earlier this month, City were linked with Massengo's teenage teammate Alex Scott who, alongside Antoine Semenyo, completes a youthful triumvirate at Ashton Gate that are attracting attention in the second-tier.

Massengo sports a sizeable list of suitors, which reportedly already included fellow Premier League sides Southampton and Watford, as well as the Foxes before reports of Lyon's interest arose.

The seven-time French champions are not the only overseas side interested in the 20-year-old either, as German Bundesliga outfit Freiburg are also on that list.

These reports come from Bristol World, who add that Bournemouth and Lyon have both 'recently watched' the Paris-born player in action for Nigel Pearson's side.

The midfielder has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season and was named on the substitutes bench at Blackburn Rovers hours after these reports broke on Saturday.

Addressing the future of their promising trio, former Leicester manager Pearson was bullish about the club's stance on what the future holds for the trio.

“My view on it is always this - they’re our players, and if we have to lose them, they’ll go on our terms,” Pearson said at the start of this month.

“We don’t want to necessarily be a ‘selling club’ just to keep afloat, because what that doesn’t do is give our fanbase any encouragement that what we’re trying to do is produce a side which is enjoyable to watch, will be successful and has players come through in our system."
