Leicester chairman breaks silence on Youri Tielemans transfer rumours amid Man United links

Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha says the club have not received any offers for Youri Tielemans.

The midfielder had been tipped to leave the Foxes last summer, with Manchester United one of the clubs rumoured to be monitoring the situation. The Belgian eventually decided to stay on at the King Power Stadium, however, he's once again being linked with a move away.

Erik ten Hag is prioritising the capture of Frenkie de Jong but United have also explored alternatives with a restock of the midfield on the agenda. Tielemans, 25, is said to want to leave Leicester this summer, with the club supposedly more willing to sell now than let him go for free next year.

However, Srivaddhanaprabha says no bids have been made for the playmaker. “There haven’t been any offers yet. There hasn’t been anything concrete or a proposition yet,” he said (via Metro).

Tielemans lifted the FA Cup with Leicester last year after a stellar season, but had a relatively subdued second half of the 2021/22 campaign, though he still managed to finish with seven goals and five assists to his name.
