Leicester: Brendan Rodgers can still 'inspire turnaround' at King Power

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers can still provide the inspiration needed to steer the club away from danger, according to insider Dean Jones.

The Foxes were back on the losing trail at Bournemouth on Saturday, suffering their seventh Premier League defeat of the season already, but Jones reckons the Northern Irishman is still the right man for the job.

Leicester looked to have turned a corner when they hammered Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest to not only end their losing run, but also rack up their first win of the campaign.

Travelling to another newly-promoted club last weekend, Rodgers' side looked on course for another three points when Patson Daka made it two goals in as many games.

Leicester held onto their advantage until the latter stages, before they were undone by two goals in four second half minutes.

And with Nottingham Forest drawing with Aston Villa on Monday, the Foxes slipped back to the foot of the table, once again increasing the pressure on Rodgers.

Regardless, Jones is confident that if the ex-Celtic and Liverpool manager still wants to be there, he's the man who can turn their fortunes around.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Rodgers is one of the best coaches in the game.

"So, if he's motivated, then I think he can still inspire this team in a way that only a few other Premier League managers could probably be able to do."

Leicester's poor form is the reason they're rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, but the fixture list hasn't exactly helped their bid to climb away from danger.

That's because in their first nine league fixtures, they've already played four of the top six, which includes trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.
