Leeds Utd transfer news: Agent names dream club with Elia Caprile pushing for exit
Leeds United look likely to face a battle to retain the services of Elia Caprile with his agent seemingly making clear the young goalkeeper’s ambitions of leaving in the event of relegation.
The Whites brought in the 20-year-old keeper in January 2020, the then-teenager coming through the system at Chievo. However, despite being at the club for well over two years, Caprile is yet to make his first-team debut for Leeds.
However, Leeds coaches do rate Caprile highly and he was allowed to return to his homeland on loan last summer. That saw him making the move to Pro Patria. And it was with the Serie C that Caprile made his professional debut in a match against AlbinoLeffe.
And to underline Leeds’ belief in Caprile, they also tied the young stopper down to a new contract last August before he left.
However, it seems that Caprile is already looking to the long term and dreaming of a move away from Elland Road.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Caprile’s agent has revealed the player fancies a move to Napoli.
Furthermore, his agent suggests that relegation from the Premier League could speed up his departure.
“His father is a true Neapolitan,” agent Graziano Battistini explains.
