Leeds United send classy farewell message to Raphinha following Barcelona switch

Leeds United have sent a classy farewell message to Raphinha after he to FC Barcelona. The La Liga outfit have agreed to pay an upfront fee in excess of £50m in full to the Whites, with a further £5m subject to conditions being met.

Raphinha has always been clear about his dream to play for Barca and leaves Leeds after two seasons at Elland Road.

The Brazilian international provided 17 goals and 12 assists in 65 Premier League matches for the Whites, including 11 goals last season as he finished as the club’s leading goal scorer.

Leeds showed their appreciation for his efforts with a classy farewell message. The said: “We would like to place on record our sincere gratitude to Raphinha for his effort and contribution whilst at the football club.

“He showed unquestionable commitment and professionalism until the very end of his time at Elland Road and his celebrations at the Brentford Community Stadium will live long in the memory.

“Everyone at Leeds United would like to wish Raphinha the very best for the future and hope he enjoys great success at the Nou Camp throughout his career.”
