Leeds United preparing 'offer' for Birmingham City starlet as Premier League clubs circle

Birmingham City will have to resist a 'seven figure offer' from Leeds United if they are to keep ahold of rising star George Hall.

The Premier League club have long been reported to hold an interest in signing the youngster. Now the Daily Mail claim that they are set to test Blues' resolve this summer by submitting an offer.

The report adds that Birmingham City hope to convince the 17-year-old to stay put as game time will be easier to come by at St. Andrew's than at Elland Road. There is also interest from Brighton and Newcastle United, who are 'monitoring developments' from afar.

Hall signed his first professional contract last November, but that may not be enough to stop the player leaving should he wish to join a top flight club. Southampton and Bundesliga outfits have also been linked with a transfer for the player, as clubs will seek to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Blues right now.

However, as BirminghamLive reported in April, Birmingham City have no intention on cashing in on their talented prospects in the summer transfer window.

The versatile attacker made his senior debut on 2 January against QPR, where he played 84 minutes before being replaced by Scott Hogan in the 2-1 loss. He didn't play again until the final day of the season against Blackburn Rovers.
