Leeds United confirm starting line-up as Jesse Marsch hands out two debuts vs Blackpool

Marc Roca and Archie Gray have been handed senior Leeds United debuts by Jesse Marsch in his first line-up of the summer. The head coach has named a relatively strong side for the opening friendly of pre-season, though Patrick Bamford, Crysencio Summerville and Ian Poveda are absent.

The vast majority of the squad returned for pre-season at the start of last week. Cody Drameh makes his first appearance in Leeds colours since returning from Cardiff City.

Gray, still just 16, has drifted around the edges of the senior squad through parts of last season, but this will be his first appearance of any kind in the first team. Sam Greenwood and Rodrigo’s inclusions would suggest Marsch may try out a 4-2-2-2.

Meslier; Drameh, Koch, Struijk, Firpo; Roca, Gray; Greenwood, Harrison; Rodrigo, Gelhardt.

Klaesson, Forshaw, Allen, Davis, Bate, Miller, McGurk, Joseph, Shackleton, Moore, Mullen.
