Leeds forward has now suffered recurrence of foot injury as second scan confirms issue – report

Leeds United forward Bobby Kamwa has returned to Thorp Arch for treatment on a foot problem, The Courier report.

Kamwa left the club during the January transfer window to join Scottish side Dunfermline on loan until the end of the season.

Unfortunately, the 21-year-old has only managed to make two appearances up north and has missed the last four league games through injury.

He recently travelled to a hospital in Edinburgh for a scan but couldn’t have one due to faulty machinery and has now returned to Yorkshire.

The Courier provided an update on Kamwa’s condition on Tuesday morning, revealing a second scan has shown a problem on the tendon.

Kamwa has now headed to Thorp Arch for an injection on the issue, with Leeds physios knowing how to deal with the problem after it resurfaced. He will return up north once healthy again.

The young forward would have been hoping to play regular senior football for the first time in his career for the second half of the season, but that hasn’t been the case so far.

Kamwa is also out of contract at Elland Road in a matter of months, so this injury update also won’t help his chances of earning a new deal with the Whites.

It seems as if he is down the pecking order in the academy after being sent out on loan, but hopefully, he can return to action soon and catch the eye before the campaign – and his contract – comes to a close.

In other news, one key Leeds player has been linked with another Premier League club. Read more here.
