Leeds: £110m duo 'the priority' at Elland Road this summer

Keeping Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips at Elland Road this summer will be a priority for Leeds United, says transfer insider Pete O’Rourke.

Both players are attracting heavy interest, but it looks like the Yorkshire club will do all they can to retain the duo.

Barcelona are reportedly chasing Raphinha, with SPORT (via Sport Witness) recently claiming that they already have an agreement in place with the 25-year-old ahead of a potential transfer.

This comes after 90min reported that West Ham had a £50m offer for Raphinha rejected by Leeds back in January.

As for Phillips, several Premier League clubs are thought to be interested in him, including Manchester United.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils are considering raiding their rivals for the England international this summer.

O’Rourke has told GIVEMESPORT that Leeds will make keeping hold of both Raphinha and Phillips a priority in the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking to GMS, the football journalist said: “Another priority will be to try and keep hold of Raphinha, as he’s been linked with several moves away this summer. So keeping Phillips and Raphinha will be the priority, but if they were to leave, bringing in replacements for those two would obviously come high up.”

Right now, when it comes to Raphinha and Phillips, keeping hold of the latter looks like the easier task.

With The Telegraph reporting that Aston Villa are ready to pay £60m for the 26-year-old, it is quite clear that he is a player in demand.

However, other reports suggest that Phillips would be willing to stay at Elland Road and sign a new contract, so not all hope is lost.
