Lee Peltier sends parting message as Middlesbrough spell comes to an end

Lee Peltier has thanked Middlesbrough and the club’s fans for their support over the past season, after his time at The Riverside Stadium came to an end.

The defender joined ‘Boro last summer, joining the club after his departure from West Brom to reunite with his former Cardiff manager Neil Warnock, who was replaced by Chris Wilder in November.

Following that move, the 35-year-old would go on to make 26 appearances in all competitions for ‘Boro, who missed out on a Championship play-off place after a seventh place finish in the second-tier table.

For now though, it seems that the defender is still keen to see ‘Boro earn more success in the future, having seemingly enjoyed his time with the club.

Taking to Twitter to reflect on his departure from Middlesbrough, Peltier wrote:

“Just want to say a big thank you to boro and all the fans , had a fantastic year at the club and appreciate all the support from the fans and staff. wish you all the best and hope you get to where you belong! Again thanks for everything pelts”
