League One promotion odds for Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland

There is around a third of the League One campaign left to go and the season is approaching its crucial final months.

The regular campaign will be wrapped up at the end of April when it will be known which sides have achieved automatic promotion, a place in the play-offs, or will be playing in League Two next season following relegation.

Bolton Wanderers are one of many sides who have aspirations of being in the top six by the end of April and are currently eight points from sixth-placed Plymouth Argyle, though the Pilgrims have two games in hand.

Wanderers have 14 matches left to play and on Ian Evatt's own admission, have little margin for error if they are to continue making a successful charge up the table and be in the top six.

And their current placing of 10th despite a recent unbeaten run of seven games means Wanderers are seen as outsiders for promotion at present.

Ian Evatt's men are 33/1 to be in the Championship next season, according to the latest odds with SkyBet.

Rotherham United and Wigan Athletic are the two big favourites for promotion, being the two sides currently in the automatic spots.

Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Wycombe Wanderers, MK Dons, Oxford United and Plymouth Argyle also have decent odds to go up.

Along with Wanderers, Ipswich Town and Portsmouth are currently more seen by the bookies as outsiders.
