Law and District AAC star Jade Gray takes silver as club excel at national championships

Law and District AAC star Jade Gray claimed a silver medal for her club as they enjoyed success at the National Age Group Championships and the National Indoor Relays recently.

Both championship events were held at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow and Law athletes young and old did the club proud with a series of impressive results.

U17 athlete Gray, who hails from Hamilton, excelled in the Shot Put to take home a silver medal.

She threw nearly a metre over her previous personal best with an impressive effort of 13.37m with a 3kg shot put, achieving the silver medal.

Jade is now currently ranked second U17 in Scotland and also fifth U17 on the Scottish All Time list, which is a fantastic achievement.

Senior athlete Darran Muir had a fine run in the 3000m, finishing in fourth place in the V40 age group with a time of 9:18.26mins.

Meanwhile, the club had eight teams entered into the National 4x200m Indoor Championships, with five reaching the February finals.
