Lautaro Martinez transfer latest: Agent reveals why Tottenham will not be swooping for Inter Milan star

Tottenham will not be making a move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as boss Antonio Conte is “very happy” with his attacking options for next season.

That is according to former player, now agent, Massimo Brambatti. He says he discovered during a recent meeting that Conte will not be looking to strengthen his attack. That means a deal for Martinez will not be happening at this stage.

Martinez is a player that Conte knows very well from his time at Inter. Some reports have gone as far as suggesting that Tottenham will make a move. A bid of £77million had been mooted, but these reports now seem to be wide of the mark.

Spurs have been very busy already this summer. Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma have all arrived and more are expected to follow. The powers that be are ready to back Conte all the way.

However another striker is not on the wanted list for now. Spurs have Harry Kane and Son Heung-min of course. They bagged 25 and 24 goals respectively last season. With that in mind it is no surprise that Conte is happy with what he has.

Brambatti has suggested that nothing will change unless Harry Kane was to move on. That looks unlikely to happen at this point. Kane recently spoke of how Conte has improved him as a player. He also has his sights on Jimmy Greaves’ record.
