Lauren Walsh inside top 20 at halfway point at NSW Women's Open
Lauren Walsh sits inside the top 20 after recording a second-round 71 at the Women's NSW Open at Magenta Shores.
The Dubliner sits on three-under par at the event held 90 minutes north of Sydney, and that leaves her nine shots off leader Mariajo Uribe.
The Colombian carded a fine 65 to open up a three-shot gap over Taiwan’s Pei-Ying Tsai.
Olivia Mehaffey, meanwhile, was unable to make it through to the weekend though as five bogeys and a double bogey saw her finish on six-over par, four shots past the cut-line.

Walsh had three bogeys on her own card, but two birdies and a brilliant eagle - her first of the season - on the par-five ninth left her under par for her round.
She will enter the third round trying to chase down Uribe who was in fine form. She made back-to-back birdies on holes three and four and added another birdie on the seventh before rolling in further birdies on 11, 13, 16 and 17 for a bogey-free 65.
England’s Bronte Law and Australian amateur Justice Bosio are in a tie for third place on eight-under-par.
