Latest Man City injury news and return dates as Savinho worry emerges after Chelsea win

Manchester City picked up where they left off in the Premier League on Sunday as they won 2-0 at Chelsea. Goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic meant City extended their impressive run against the West Londoners with 10 straight games with defeat.

Pep Guardiola's men never got out of second gear at Stamford Bridge as they came up against a Chelsea team that lacked confidence and cohesion. Enzo Maresca's men, who had six summer signings in their squad, showed glimpses of quality, but City defended exceptionally.

"He has to solve it and it’s a question of a lack of preparation, a lack of training sessions. Apparently it’s not a big, big problem. Will be ready for hopefully next Saturday."

Potential return date: Ipswich Town - Saturday August 24

Injury: Fractured leg
