LASUTH honours football team, others

The management of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has honoured its football team for winning the 2022 edition of the Lagos State Head of Service Games.

The management also awarded gifts to winners of the LASUTH Games, which was held in honour of members of staff who passed on during the COVID-19 era.

The third edition of the LASUTH tournament featured sporting activities, including table tennis, draught, stoke and chess competitions. Olabode Ijaola from Dental department won the Zainab Amusan Table Tennis competition (men category), while Olusoji Fagbemi from Medical Records emerged as first runners-up. The second runners-up award goes to John Jaiyeola from Admin & Human Resource department.

In the Zainab Amusan Table Tennis Women category, Dr. Morolayo Kikelomo of Radiology Department emerged winner, Sarah Allison from Stoke Unit emerged first runners up, while second runners-up was Monsurat Ajala from Admin & Human Resource Department.

In the Oluwole John Akano Draught Competition (Male Category), Kunle Ajayi of the Engineering Department emerged winner, while Wasiu Samuel from Transport department emerged runners up.

Aramide Toriola of Admin & Human Resource Department won the Oluwole John Akano Draught Competition (Women Category), while Tosin Abayami from Finance & Account emerged as runners up.

For the Oyedokun Yekeen Oyedele Chess Competition, Prof, Olaitan of Dental Department emerged winner, while Hassan Alugo of Quality Assurance was the runners up.

Speaking at the official reception ceremony for the winners, the Chief Medical Director, LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, urged them to continue their winning streak.
