Large emergency response after Range Rover flips onto roof in crash

A large emergency services response raced to the scene of a crash involving a Range Rover in Higher Broughton.

The car flipped onto its roof after the smash on Leicester Road in the Higher Broughton area just after 12.30am this morning (May 3). The Range Rover also hit another parked car.

Part of the road was taped off as a large number of fire crews, police officers and paramedics responded. Pictures showed a parked car left with damage on its side and back wheel.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said no serious injuries were reported. A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed they 'made the area safe'.

The road has since been reopened. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At just after 12.30am today (Friday May 3) two fire engines from Broughton and Moss Side fire stations plus the technical response unit from Ashton fire station were called to a crash involving one car and a parked car on Leicester Road, Salford.

"Firefighters worked to make the vehicles and area safe. We were in attendance for around 45 minutes."
