Lando Norris caught on camera swearing at fan who mocked him after Australian GP

Lando Norris was caught on camera giving the middle finger to a fan who teased him about his performance at the Australian Grand Prix.

The 24 year old racing sensation didn't take too kindly to a cheeky comment from a spectator in Melbourne and responded with a swift hand gesture. Lando has been making a name for himself in the racing world, rising through the ranks from the McLaren Young Driver Program to become a real standout. He shone brightly in Formula 2 with Carlin in 2018, securing second place, before making the big leap to join the F1 grid.

He began racing for McLaren alongside Carlos Sainz Jr six years ago and received his first major applause when he secured third place at the Austrian Grand Prix in 2020. Since then, he's made it to the podium 13 more times, but he's yet to win an F1 race, despite coming close on several occasions.

At the Melbourne race, he sped into third place once again, but couldn't overtake Sainz and Charles Leclerc to claim victory. This prompted one spectator at the track to shout: "When are you gonna win a race, Lando? ".

Clearly upset by the harsh words, Norris, who was being filmed at the time, responded by showing the fan the middle finger. Essentially telling the negative spectator to "f*** off", before waving - prompting a laugh from the offender.

Norris was still happy after the race, thanking his McLaren team for their hard work. He shared: "I think our pace has been good all weekend. We put things together very nicely."
