Lampard wants Spurs outcast as ‘ambitious plan’ sways Everton
Frank Lampard wants to sign Dele Alli at Everton before the close of the January transfer window.
Lampard came through a second round of interviews ahead of Vitor Pereira and Duncan Ferguson to succeed Rafa Benitez at Goodison Park, and is expected to be officially announced as the new Toffees boss imminently.

Fabrizio Romano claimed on Saturday that Lampard wants Manchester United wantaway Donny van de Beek as his first signing as Everton boss, but The Sun believe he’s going after Dele Alli.
Both signings coud be on the cards, with Lampard impressing majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright with his ‘ambitious plans for an immediate raid into the market’ ahead of Monday night’s transfer window deadline.

Alli has started eight Premier League games this season, scoring one goal, but just two under Antonio Conte, who is keen to get him off the pay roll in order to make moves in January.
Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the England international, with a loan move now thought to be most likely.
With the World Cup in Qatar later this year, a move away would offer Alli the opportunity to work his way back into Gareth Southgate’s squad.
