Lampard could unearth his very own Griezmann with Everton bid for "complete" £18m gem - opinion

Everton had a slow start to the transfer window but have certainly made up for it by securing three signings so far as the club set out to improve the squad following a difficult season in the Premier League.

The Toffees struggled in a relegation scrap at the bottom of the table last season and Frank Lampard will be desperate to find solutions for the mistakes of the past to ensure the side have a much better chance of competing to ensure they don’t risk compromising their top-flight status yet again.

Dwight McNeil, James Tarkowski and Ruben Vinagre are the new recruits at Goodison Park but there is certainly an opportunity to strengthen the forward line further, especially after the departure of Richarlison this summer.

One player who has been linked with a move to Merseyside recently is RC Strasbourg striker Ludovic Ajorque, as Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol revealed on Monday (via Sky Sports Transfer Centre):

“A player who we could be hearing a lot more from in the next couple of weeks played against Liverpool for Starsbourg at the weekend.

“He’s a striker called Ludovic Ajorque, 6ft 6in striker with a very good scoring record for them, is available for £18m.

“I’m told the clubs that watched him yesterday were Wolves, Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Newcastle. He’s someone we might be hearing a lot more from.”

The 28-year-old talent who was hailed a “complete player” by Julian Stephan, scored 12 goals, delivered eight assists and created 11 big chances last term. He also produced 1.3 key passes, one tackle and 1.6 shots per game, proving that he could be a great goal threat for Everton if they could sign him this summer.

Lampard could even land his very own Antoine
