Lamar Jackson: Ravens QB shows off incredible arm strength in viral video

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is showing off his incredible arm strength with an impressive viral video.

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, despite some very impressive seasons in the past few years, are still trying to find a way to break through the glass ceiling and make a run at being legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Since being taken with the #32 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Jackson has become one of the dominant threats in the league, both because of what he can do with his arms as well as his legs, having put up 9,967 passing yards and 84 touchdowns through the air whilst rushing for a further 3,673 yards and 21 touchdowns.

From 2016-2020, the Ravens never finished lower than second in the AFC North, went to the playoffs three times and even managed to grab the AFC’s #1 seed back in 2019 in a year that saw Jackson win league MVP, John Harbaugh win Head Coach of the Year and Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman take home Assistant Coach of the Year, but alas it hasn’t yielded any silverware just yet.

Despite the aforementioned impressive numbers, there are still some around the league that question exactly what Jackson can bring to the table when it comes to using just his arm rather than his legs, as best summed up by ESPN’s Get Up last week:

There are some stats, like this one from midway through last season that would suggest the numbers don’t necessarily reflect what some people see:

Highest passing grade from a clean pocket this seasonLamar Jackson – 89.4
