"Sadness, mostly. I was still in shock, like crazy shock. I felt like my heart was broken, honestly," Doncic said in the interview. He revealed that he was in bed when he first learned of the news. His first reaction? Throwing his phone.
"It still works," Doncic said with a smile as he revealed the damage to his phone.
Donici spent the first 6.5 years of his career in Dallas. When asked if that’s where he had hoped to finish it, he responded, "Of course, it’s an easy question."
Doncic has thrived with the Lakers, meanwhile Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison has become public enemy No. 1. According to Doncic, he has not spoken to Harrison since the trade, including the night he learned of it.
