Lage starts £75k-p/w "under the radar" ace, "Jota-esque" gem axed: Predicted Wolves XI - opinion

Wolves have another Premier League clash at Molineux ahead of them this evening, this time seeing Roy Hodgson’s Watford take the trip to the Midlands.

With the Old Gold having lost their three previous league games and the Hornets still desperately looking to escape the relegation zone, both sides will be aiming for a win tonight.

In his latest press conference, Bruno Lage revealed that right-full backs Nelson Semedo and Ki-Jana Hoever are the only players in his squad that will not be available to take on Watford through injury.

Taking this into account, here’s how we feel the 45-year-old could line his side up tonight.

Even though he’s conceded six goals in his four previous league appearances, it still seems likely that Jose Sa will start in goal to see if he can pick up his tenth clean sheet of the season.

For a back three, we think that Lage will stick with the trio of Romain Saiss, Conor Coady and Max Kilman, even though the latter gave away a penalty in the 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Given the current injury issues, it seems as though Jonny Otto will have to start on the right with Fernando Marcal keeping his place on the left for the two wing-back positions.

Labelled as a player that goes “under the radar” in the past, the £75k-per-week full-back will presumably have a good run of games from now on given the injury issues to Semedo and Hoever.

In between the two wing-backs, we predict that the former Benfica boss will keep Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho in the team to make up the midfield.

Then for the front three, having only been able to get one shot at goal against Palace, which was off target, we think that Lage will take Hwang Hee-chan out of the side and replace him with striker Raul
