La Rochelle rematch on cards if Leinster beat Tigers

Leinster will face yet another mouthwatering rematch against La Rochelle if they can beat Leicester Tigers this evening.

Ronan O'Gara’s back-to-back Investec Champions Cup winners came from 16-0 down to beat the Stormers, 22-21, in Cape Town to book a quarter-final spot.

Stormers out-half Manie Libbok missed a conversion with the last kick of the game.

Leinster beat La Rochelle 16-9 away in the pool stages last December but lost their last three knock-out games against the French side, including the last two finals.

Their game against Tigers kicks off at 8pm at the Aviva Stadium.

Munster, meanwhile, will face an early trip to Pretoria to take on the Bulls if they beat Northampton Saints tomorrow.

Jake White's side, third in the URC table, hammered Lyon 59-19 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, scoring nine tries against the Top14 outfit.

Graham Rowntree’s squad is due to fly to South Africa for a double-header against the Bulls and the Lions in rounds 14 and 15 of the URC but will depart a week earlier if they can win at Franklin’s Gardens.

Earlier, lock RG Snyman and wing Shane Daly were ruled out of the game, which kicks off at 12.30pm.

Elsewhere, Harlequins were the first team to qualify for the quarter-final stages when they beat Glasgow 28-24 last night.
