Kyogo branded 'dirty' as Celtic striker rinsed by outgoing Livingston defender’s parting shot

Jack Fitzwater will be hoping that he never has to face Celtic frontman Kyogo again as his time at Livingston comes to an end - after he named the Japanese striker as the 'most annoying' player he has ever come up against.

The Livingston defender made over 100 appearances for the Lions under David Martindale - but that chapter is set to come to an end, with the 25-year-old stating that he is aiming for a new challenge. As he looked back on his stint in West Lothian the Englishman has named one player in particular that he won't miss in the Scottish Premiership as he likely ventures down south - with Celtic star Kyogo being branded as 'annoying' and 'dirty' off the ball.

However, he did give a nod to the Parkhead forward as one of the toughest rivals he faced during his time in the Lions backline. Fitzwater said: “The most annoying player I came up against was Kyogo, he’s sharp and he’s actually quite dirty as a player off the ball.

“There are a lot of tough opponents I’ve come up against up here but I would say Kyogo and Ryan Kent, the season they won the league. Connor Goldson would hit a diagonal over my head and it would be hard for Nicky Devlin to track Kent’s runs in behind.

“On his day, he was literally unplayable; speed, power. I would say those two are the hardest I’ve faced.

“It’s full of great players up here and the league is only getting better as well. You can see the increase in quality each season and that season there was very hard.”
