Kym Marsh supported by co-star as she returns to BBC's Morning Live with heartbreaking update

Kym Marsh has been supported by viewers and her co-stars after returning to Morning Live with a heartbreaking update. The actress made her presenting comeback on the BBC One show with Gethin Jones on Thursday (November 2).

Kym has been away from the show for several months due to other work commitments, namely touring the country with the Take That musical, Greatest Days, in which she starred alongside her daughter Emilie Cunliffe as Rachel and young Rachel.

But as she returned to the Morning Live studio, and after introducing the guests, Gethin said: "Kym, it's been a minute since we've seen you," to which Kym replied: "I know, it's been a little while hasn't it?"

It is then when Gethin commented on Kym's dad, Dave Marsh, who she revealed on the show in 2021 had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Dave also appeared on the show himself to help raise awareness and encourage others to go and get checked when they have concerns.

Gethin said to Kym: "I know you've been spending quite a lot of time with your dad recently. We know Dave really well on Morning Live and the reason you've been spending time with him is because you've had some bad news, haven't you?"

The former Coronation Street star then replied: "Yes, Morning Live has been following dad's cancer diagnosis which was about two-and-a-half years ago I think now and his latest scan results have shown, unfortunately, that there are more cancer deposits further up his spine now."

Kym, 47, continued: "They are doing further scans to see if it's gone into any more of his bones
