Kylian Mbappe wants Real Madrid transfer but Paris Saint-Germain will only sell him to Liverpool

Kylian Mbappe has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain and wants to join Real Madrid in the January transfer window, according to widespread reports in France and Spain.

The 23-year-old signed a new three-year contract with the French champions in May, which temporarily put an end to his constant links with a move to Madrid.

But according to Le Parisien, Mbappe ‘feels betrayed’ by PSG’s hierarchy as he is unhappy that a number of promises made to persuade him to sign a new contract have not been kept, including new signings in the summer window and his own role in the team.

Mbappe’s relationship with Neymar has also deteriorated in recent months, and it’s understood that the French forward was keen for PSG to offload the Brazilian in the summer.

Meanwhile, Marca report that PSG had opened the door for Mbappe to leave in July but the French club made it clear that he would not be sold to Real Madrid, which is his preferred destination.

PSG, however, would be willing to sell Mbappe to Liverpool, who have failed with their attempt to sign the striker in the past.

Speaking to The Telegraph in May, Mbappe revealed that Liverpool had made an approach before he signed his new deal with PSG.

‘We talked a little bit, but not too much. We talked a little bit,’ Mbappe said.

‘I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why, you will have to ask her!

‘It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.’
