Kylian Mbappe’s parents ‘disagree’ over transfer plans as PSG star 'identifies option'

Kylian Mbappe’s parents are said to have made it clear that they want the French forward to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain rather than moving to Real Madrid.

The striker is out of contract at the Parc des Princes at the end of the season and it looked like a foregone conclusion that he would be heading to Madrid when the deal expired. However, PSG are attempting to shoot one last shot at convincing the Ballon d’Or winner in waiting to remain with them for the next two years.

The 23-year-old has agreed on a financial package to join Los Blancos in the summer, but PSG are willing to offer him a £21million net annual salary and £150m signing-on fee to stay at the club, says Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. If he signed that contract, his parents – who are also his representatives – will pocket £42m from the club as commission.

But rather than signing the lucrative deal, Mbappe wants to talk to Madrid about renegotiating the deal he has in place with them as it is his ‘preferred destination’. But Mbappe’s parents ‘disagree’ on what his next move should be.

Balague reports that despite PSG throwing the cash at the former Monaco star, Madrid are relaxed about the situation due to how their interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. And the Santiago Bernabeu outfit’s decision to sign Mbappe over Haaland has been given the seal of approval from Barcelona defender Dani Alves.

Speaking to Diario Sport, he said: “I would not throw everything at Haaland. Sincerely, I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on him. On Mbappe, yes, but Haaland no.
