Kylian Mbappe: PSG star's backheel volley in France training remembered

Kylian Mbappe’s record with the France national football team is exceptional.

Aside from a difficult Euro 2020 where he failed to find the back of the net, the 23-year-old superstar has delivered the goods for his country since bursting onto the scene in 2017.

Mbappe has scored 10 goals in his last seven international appearances, meaning he now has 27 in 56 games for Les Bleus – including one in the 4-2 World Cup final victory over Croatia in 2018.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward is more than halfway towards Thierry Henry‘s all-time record of 51 goals and if serious injury is avoided, Mbappe should surpass that total by quite some distance.

And his brilliance on France duty is not just reserved for games.

In October of last year, footage was released of Mbappe scoring the most outrageous of goals during a training session with the national team.

We’re so thankful it was caught on camera, as the world needed to see the backheel volley with their own eyes to believe it actually happened.
