Kylian Mbappe has already told Manchester United what he thinks of transfer plans
It's no secret that Manchester United are desperate to bring in a top-class centre-forward during the summer transfer window.
The club's profligacy in front of goal cost them dearly last season and is something manager Erik ten Hag has already lamented during the club's pre-season tour of the US. When asked if the performance highlighted United's need for a new goalscorer following the 2-0 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday, he replied: "Absolutely. Two things: the pressing can be better from the start and scoring goals. And I think we need more players who are capable to be in the one-on-ones.
"We had the situations: it was (Marcus) Rashford, Scott McTominay, (Alejandro) Garnacho, you have to score. It's always difficult to see... but we are working 24/7. We do a lot in the club, all the power to get this done."

United have stepped back from their initial interest in Harry Kane despite the Spurs forward having just one year left on his contract in London due to the belief his current club will not agree to sell him to a Premier League rival.
