Kyle Walker reveals how secret Arsenal fans' tactic failed but Man City star still went sleepless

Kyle Walker has revealed that he struggled to sleep the night despite a failed attempt from Arsenal fans to disrupt Manchester City's pre-match preparations.

Tuesday night saw City claim a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. An Erling Haaland brace moved City back above Arsenal to the top of the league table with just one fixture left to play.

Pep Guardiola's side are now two points clear of the Gunners heading into Sunday's final day. City will face West Ham at the Etihad Stadium, while Arsenal will host Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

On Monday night news emerged that a group of Arsenal supporters had attempted to disrupt City's pre-match plans for the game against Spurs. The group known as the Ashburton Army set off some fireworks outside the Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey at around 2am, the hotel where they would likely have believed City's squad would be located.

However, the plans to disrupt Guardiola and the City players' sleep failed due to the squad being more than 200 miles away at the time of the fireworks display. Instead of being at the Marriott Hotel, City's players were staying in Manchester on Monday night before making the trip to London the following morning for the evening kick-off.

Despite the fireworks display not going to plan, Walker admitted he did not get much sleep the night before the game against Tottenham. The England international did refer to the fireworks from the group of Arsenal fans when giving an interview after helping City move a step closer to the Premier
