Kyle Walker highlighted worrying Man City flaw after Nottingham Forest draw

Before Manchester City's trip to Nottingham Forest, all the talk surrounding the Blues was about their mentality and how this could prove to be the difference in the title race against Arsenal.

However, as we have seen with the race for the Premier League crown in seasons gone by, nothing is ever quite that straightforward. On another day, City supporters would have been wondering if the missed chances against Forest were an opportunity they let slip to improve the team's goal difference.

Instead, the result of missing those chances was rather more critical. Chris Wood's goal against the run of play saw the Blues relinquish the top spot in the table and put Arsenal back in the driving seat.

As undeserved as the result may have been, it goes to prove that every team, even one as good as City, cannot afford to squander chances against any opponent. Moving forwards though, City will be hoping to address a concern which Kyle Walker hinted at in his post-match interview.

"We know if we want to compete with teams at the top we need to come to grounds like this and win," Walker admitted. "We know it's unacceptable and we have to move on from that.

"We have to give Forest credit, they dug in and full credit to them but from a City point of view we need to do better. We missed a few chances and we need to do better as a team.

"Sometimes it's football and sometimes it's emotion. Every game should be treated the same - like a cup final.

"We have to stick together as a group." Walker's suggestion that there was some complacency in the group after defeating Arsenal is a worrying revelation.
