Kuss wins Vuelta in Jumbo-Visma clean sweep
Sepp Kuss became the first American to win a Grand Tour in 10 years as he sealed Vuelta a Espana victory in Madrid.
The 29-year-old from Colorado navigated the largely processional 21st and final stage without problems to finish 17 seconds clear at the top of the general classification.
It was a podium clean sweep for Jumbo-Visma, with Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard second and Giro d'Italia champion Primoz Roglic third, as the team became the first to claim all three Grand Tour titles in the same season.
Kuss ends a US wait for a Tour triumph stretching back to Chris Horner's Vuelta success in 2013.
The concluding stage was won by Australia's Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck), his third stage victory of this year's race, ahead of second-placed Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), while Nico Denz (Bora-Hansgrohe) came third.
