Kris Boyd turns Ange ally as Rangers hero fears what could happen if the REAL Tottenham turn up

Kris Boyd reckons it's 'ridiculous' that anyone at Tottenham wants Ange gone – regardless of how they get on against Rangers.

Postecoglou and his team are on their way to Glasgow for Thursday's Europa League clash and it's the first time he's back in Scotland for a competitive game since he left Celtic in 2023. He's set to get a pantomime villain reception at Ibrox, having conquered the Scottish game with Rangers’ bitter rivals, but will be more focused on a result which his team desperately need.

A stunning 4-0 win away to Manchester City is the outlying result in a terrible run for Tottenham, and the only win in their last seven in all competitions. They're sinking like a stone in the Premier League after their 4-3 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend and anything but a convincing win in Glasgow's south side will see the volume turned up on speculation over his future.

But Boyd doesn't believe that's fair and thinks Postecoglou, who led them to a fifth-placed finish last season, has done enough to show he's the right man for the job. And he reckons his Spurs will make it hard for his old team - although knows it won't be easy for them at a 'hostile' Ibrox.

Boyd told Sky Sports: "Tottenham are struggling domestically right now but you see some of the performances they can put on. Ange Postecoglou, coming back to Glasgow, will want to put on a show because of his connection to Celtic, and because of the poor form Tottenham have been in.

"You get the feeling pressure is starting to mount on him. It will be interesting to see what he does with his team. He has chopped and changed in Europe, but they've got a huge game at the weekend which they need to get three points from when you look at their recent domestic form.
