Kostas Tsimikas: Liverpool ace's incredible goal line clearance vs Rangers

Kostas Tsimikas put his body on the line to make an epic goal line clearance in Liverpool’s Champions League match over Rangers on Tuesday evening.

The Greek left-back was in the starting lineup for the game at Anfield.

He played the full 90 minutes as the Reds ran out 2-0 victors.

Trent Alexander-Arnold netted the opener in the seventh minute as he curled home an exquisite free-kick from 25 yards.

The Reds were given a penalty in the second half when Luis Diaz was felled inside the box.

Mohamed Salah stepped up and he coolly planted his spot-kick past Allan McGregor and into the back of the net.

Rangers pushed forward late on and nearly had an equaliser when Rabbi Matondo found himself in a dangerous position.

His low cross looked like it would be put into an empty net by Fashion Sakala.

But Tsimikas denied Rangers a goal as he produced a quite extraordinary clearance.

The Greek defender put his body on the line as he flew into the air and somehow managed to hook the ball over the bar and out for a corner.

Tsimikas went flying into the back of the net but, fortunately, was unhurt. He got up and let out a roar as he was thanked by a number of his teammates.

It was an extraordinary clearance and you can view it below…
