Ko and Yang share LPGA halfway lead
South Koreans Jin Young Ko and Amy Yang are tied for the halfway lead in the LPGA Tour's HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore after carding five-under 67s.
World No.1 Ko made five birdies in another flawless round on Friday to reach eight under and will be hoping to lift the title at the tournament sometimes dubbed "Asia's major."
Ko, 26, has recorded nine top-10 finishes in her last 10 starts, including five wins.
Yang, who was tied for fifth place after the opening day at the Sentosa Golf Club, got off to a disappointing start with a bogey on the third hole.
But she responded with four birdies in the next six and added three more after the turn.
The trio of American Megan Khang, Thai Atthaya Thitikul and Canadian Brooke Henderson were tied for third place a shot back at seven-under.
Su Oh is the leading Australian at five under after a 70 while Minjee Lee (69) is a shot further back and Hannah Green (69) is tied 36th at one under.
