Kildare choose Nowlan Park as 'home' venue for Dublin round-robin clash

Kildare will take on Dublin in their All-Ireland SFC round robin-clash in UPMC Nowlan Park.

The sides will lock horns for the second time in championship fare in less than five weeks on Saturday, 3 June, in the Group 3 round two fixture.

The Lilywhites have chosen the Kilkenny venue as their designated 'home' ground with St Conleth’s Park closed for developments.

While O’Moore Park in Portlaoise and Dr Cullen Park were also mooted as possible choices, the 27-000 capacity Nowlan Park has been selected.

Kildare open their Group 3 account away to Sligo in Markievicz Park on Sunday, while Leinster champions Dublin host Roscommon in Croke Park on Saturday week.

The Dubs were pushed all the way by Glen Ryan’s men in the Leinster semi-final, the men from the capital edging to a 0-14 to 0-12 victory.
