Kieran Tierney dazzles Real Madrid scouts as Arsenal spying mission intensifies transfer desire

Scotland international Kieran Tierney has reportedly "solidified" himself as a key transfer target for Real Madrid this summer.

The 24-year-old's rise up the Bernabeu wishlist comes after their scouts, including the revered Juni Calafat, were left seriously impressed by the Arsenal star when they tracked Bukayo Saka earlier this season.

90Min report Tierney's stock is also rising with Real because they covet his versatility, with experience playing in multiple roles across the backline.

Arsenal are in the mix for a top four finish in the English Premier League that would guarantee a return to the Champions League after a five-year absence.

And multiple reports in Spain insisted last month the Gunners will do everything to retain one of their best players.

Tierney would cost in excess of £50m due to his long-term Arsenal contract which runs to 2026. Former club Celtic will be keeping a keen eye on developments as they retain a 15 per cent sell-on fee.

Madrid's scouts are convinced of his worth, however, boss Carlo Ancelotti is a long-term admirer of a player he watched closely since his Parkhead days.

Speaking in 2019, the three-time Champions League winner said: “Am I aware of Kieran Tierney?

“I know him and he is a really good player. He is a really good young left back. But he is a Celtic player.

“We are looking for a lot of players for this coming season, but he is a Celtic player and we have two good left backs.

"But honestly I can say he is a really good player.”
