Kick-off time for Dublin Champions Cup final confirmed

The EPCR has confirmed the kick-off times for both the Heineken Champions Cup and the Challenge Cup finals, which are being held in Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

The Champions Cup final will start at 4.45pm on Saturday 20 May at the Dublin 4 venue, while the Challenge Cup decider takes place the night before with a kick-off at 8pm.

Favourites Leinster, who won all four of their pool games, face Ulster, who scrapped through to the play-offs, in the round of 16 in the Aviva Stadium on 1 April (kick-off, 5.30pm).

On the same day Munster will be in South Africa to take on the Cell C Sharks (kick-off 12.30pm Irish time).

Connacht’s Challenge Cup journey takes them to Benetton Treviso on 1 April with a start time of 3pm (Irish) for Andy Friend’s side, who won three of their four pool games.

Should they win that match then a home tie against either Cardiff or Sale awaits.

"More than 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the finals weekend," said the organisers, European Professional Club Rugby.

It will be the first time that the finals have been held in Dublin since Toulon's 2013 Heineken Champions Cup victory over Clermont Auvergne, and from Leinster's Challenge Cup success against Stade Francais.
