Kevin De Bruyne 'wanted' by Saudi Arabian clubs and more Man City transfer rumours

Clubs in Saudi Arabia have reportedly set their sights on an audacious attempt to sign Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne - next summer - along with two other Premier League superstars.

Cristiano Ronaldo sparked up a mass exodus to the Gulf state when signing for Al-Nassr when his second act with Manchester United ended on a sour note last season. Since then, huge names such as Neymar and Karim Benzema have completed moves to the Saudi Pro League, as well as several ex-Premier League players.

Salah was subject to a staggering £150million bid this summer - which Liverpool rejected - and reports from radio station talkSPORT indicate he and De Bruyne will be subject to follow-up approaches next summer. Callum Wilson from Newcastle is the third player named in the talkSPORT article.

Jordan Henderson, N'Golo Kante, Fabinho, Riyad Mahrez, Ruben Neves and Roberto Firmino were among the main signings made by Saudi Arabian sides this summer. Several clubs within the Saudi Pro League are bankrolled by the country's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which also backs up Newcastle.

Elsewhere, reports from Spanish publication Fichajes indicate Arsenal want to sign the rarely-played Kalvin Phillips from City next summer. Phillips, 27, has made just two Premier League starts for the treble-winners after he moved to the club from Leeds United
