Kevin De Bruyne sends message to Man City rivals for next season

Kevin De Bruyne says that Manchester City never bore of winning as they scooped up their fifth Premier League in six years.

City trailed Arsenal for most of the season but found form when it mattered and delivered a 12-match winning run that blew the Gunners away and clinched another title. After matches with Brighton and Brentford, the Blues will try and make more history as they aim for a Treble with the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

Guardiola moaned in the season that his team did not have the hunger and intensity that Arsenal did, but the squad found that ruthlessness and drive and their experience told. Despite what some clubs may hope as they plan for next season. De Bruyne doesn't expect his teammates to lose that will to win any time soon.

"We deserve to enjoy this and it’s great to be here. The league doesn’t lie – we were the best," he said. "Arsenal were incredible – especially in the first part of the season. In the end though we deserve it, we came back, and we’ve won a lot of games.”

“We like to win, and we’re never bored of it. We’ve won a lot in the past, but we want to win again and again.

"I’m sure the future will be the same. It’s incredible – to win three times in a row, it’s hard work. We deserve it.

"The hunger is there, the mentality is good, it’s a good group. We just want to play good football. Pep makes sure that the group stays hungry. The group is very humble.”
