Kevin De Bruyne makes honest Man City injury admission after Crystal Palace win

Kevin De Bruyne has made an honest admission of how injuries have impacted his and Manchester City's season.

De Bruyne starred for City as they claimed a 4-2 win over the Eagles at Selhurst Park in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off. De Bruyne scored a brace in South West London and was supported by goals from Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland to secure all three points for City.

Pep Guardiola's side had trailed early in the game after Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring for Palace. The home side also got on the score sheet with a late goal from Odsonne Edouard, but City managed to hold on to secure the much-needed victory.

City leapfrogged Arsenal into second place in the Premier League table with the win. The Gunners face Brighton on the road in the Saturday evening kick-off, with current leaders Liverpool now level on points with City ahead of Sunday's fixture against Manchester United.

De Bruyne has struggled with injuries this season, missing 33 matches for City with the majority coming in the early months of the campaign with a hamstring issue. Now the Belgium international is fully fit and ready for an intense run-in as City compete on three fronts.
